standing up from wheelchair (0:10), aka "sit to stand", repeat as able

wheelchair "pushups": just sit in chair, and use hands on armrests to begin standing, but don't fully stand. Repeat a few times. (no video)

leg "circles": while sitting in wheelchair, lift and straighten leg, then make circles with the foot. 20-30 seconds, then switch to the other leg. Repeat as able (no video)

walking back to bed (1:05)

getting back into bed (0:56)

"dead bug" one leg (1:13) You might want to skip this, and proceed to both legs.

"dead bug" both legs (0:53)

"bridges" (0:35) better with fewer pillows under the head


A note from the therapist:

I recommend the use of a gait belt as a safety precaution to reduce fall risk when performing functional transfers and during ambulation with use of a walker.
